We thank you for your patience as we have worked through all scenarios for the 2020 1st Lt. Derek Hines Flag Day 5K. Our top priority is of course to ensure the safety for all participants, volunteers, and sponsors of the race. After careful review and consideration we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in person Flag Day 5K road race. We know that this event is a highlight for so many and something that you look forward to year after year but as mentioned we feel it is our duty to care for all who attend.
Even though the foundation will be forgoing its major fundraiser, we have been hard at work to support our local Active Duty Military members and Veterans who are in need. This current pandemic only strengthens our resolve and encourages us to do more wherever we can. We thank all of you who have supported us year in and year out and who have allowed us to fulfill our mission.
