Mission
The 1 st Lt. Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Fund provides financial
assistance to soldiers who have incurred serious physical, mental, often life
altering injuries, and their families. We strategically partner with organizations
who align with our commitment, to help all men and women in the armed forces
in Derek’s memory and honor.

Home Base/Invisible Wounds
MGH/The Red Sox Foundation’s Home Base Program is the only medical center in the US solely dedicated to our Veterans mental health. Through our ongoing partnership and annual commitment, we support the best in the world.
Conflict Preparedness
We as a foundation are always ready. Men and women in the armed services can be called to serve in conflicts anywhere and anytime, and we have devoted funds to be ready at a moment’s notice.
Armed Forces Community Support
Our roots are deep in local communities. We have generous grass roots support and we continue to pay it forward to our local veterans. We are committed to support our heroes today, tomorrow, and in our future.
